I have been watching Secureworks for a long time—ever since Dell bought the company back in February of 2011. The company’s reputation as a leader in managed security services was well-known, and this purchase represented one of the first big bets by Dell in the cybersecurity space. Secureworks could analyze and remediate the ever-evolving threat landscape for Dell customers.
Fast-forward to 2020—when Netskope and Dell became partners and Netskope joined Dell’s security portfolio, which included Secureworks. This security portfolio represents best-of-breed solutions supported by Dell’s worldwide reach. At the same time, Secureworks became a cloud-based XDR platform to assist in mitigating threats based on their vast experience and threat intelligence. When I saw what Secureworks was doing to innovate and add value, I became keenly aware that a partnership and integration between Secureworks and Netskope would be beneficial not just for future customers, but also for our existing Netskope customers who utilize Secureworks.
I’m excited to announce that Secureworks Taegis™ and the Netskope SASE platform are now integrated, and Netskope can provide key telemetry, data, and alerts to the Secureworks XDR platform. How is this beneficial? Companies have multiple security tools, and while this layered protection is useful, if the platforms don’t talk to each other, information silos are created. For a security team, siloed information becomes difficult to manage and correlate—especially when threats are sophisticated and time to react is precious.
A few examples of how Netskope and Secureworks work together include:
- Netskope sends threat information and alerts to Secureworks Taegis™ for correlation.
- Netskope sends important log information to enrich a security team’s threat detection and response.
- Netskope alerts Secureworks customers to misconfigurations in cloud resources and recommends remediation.
The true value of the Netskope + Secureworks integration is being able to eliminate a threat in near real-time. As more customers adopt a SASE framework, Netskope and Secureworks can provide a “better-together” solution that is not only supported by Dell, but the combined solution also gives customers more confidence to innovate and adopt new technologies while reducing risk.
